Meet any or every Tuesday or Thursday 7:30-8:30 AM for a purposeful walk from the end of Stetson Shrine Lane Norwell to the Stetson Meadows, around the 'River Loop' trail, and back. About 2 miles, usually 50-55 minutes. Maybe an hour.
We'll post a recommended topic here (and at the end of the Lane) for each day. Walk with purpose. Listen to understand. Speak to be heard. Add your perspective to this thoughtful group.
August’s provocations:
Tuesday August 4 | What early childhood memory made you realize the world was bigger or more complex than you thought? |
Thursday August 6 | How has a major surprise or unexpected turn in your life shifted what you believe is possible? |
Tuesday August 11 | When did a painful or difficult event change how you view safety and fairness in life? |
Thursday August 13 | Who is a person you met who completely challenged your assumptions about how people work? |
Tuesday August 18 | If aliens aren’t real, how would you argue against their existence? |
Thursday August 20 | If you could choose to be any animal, what animal would you choose to be? |
Tuesday August 25 | If you could have the credit for creating any piece of art, which would you choose? |
Thursday August 27 | What superpower would you choose if you could develop one? |
Specialization has lost its value. Today, it’s free, right on your phone. Today’s value comes from the conscious structure built from exposure to many disparate domains: tech (to keep up), art (to recognize beauty), great literature (to understand humanity), people (to mentor and lead), the divine (for purpose), and many others. Add adaptability to include new life experiences, always evolving into a coherent view of the world as it truly is, and now you have something of value. |
